Quest of unknown kadath

This exhibition explores how humans confront fear, drawing inspiration from H. P. Lovecraft’s fantasy novel The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath. The story follows Randolph Carter, a dreamer who longs to reach the mysterious city of Kadath—a place that appears repeatedly in his dreams, yet whose location remains unknown. In his journey through the dream world, Carter traverses strange and wondrous landscapes, encountering ancient deities, bizarre creatures, and unimaginable visions.

Lovecraft’s tale blends elements of horror with themes of mystery, creating a dreamlike world where the boundaries between reality and imagination are blurred. Through Carter’s adventures, the novel reveals the subtle and profound connections between dreams and waking life, as well as humanity’s enduring curiosity about the unknown, the supernatural, and the mysterious.

Following the narrative path of The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, this exhibition invites visitors to traverse the threshold between reality and dreams. It presents not only a visual interpretation of the novel but also a unique exploration of the interplay between fantasy literature and contemporary art, guiding the audience through spaces where fear, wonder, and imagination converge.
